Mother's Day

A couple of weekends ago saw me over in Reading taking family portraits for Louise and Graham. We had a real laugh and enjoyed it immensely, watching the kids express themselves and just be themselves in the mobile studio. We set no time limits, it takes as long as it takes, and we had no plans that couldn't change at the drop of a hat. We just let the shoot unfold according to the kids and how they got on together... which they did beautifully! There are plenty of colour shots and some fun ones amongst dad's legs and playing with a big fluffy dog, but these are the ones I like for their innocence and simplicity. I don't know what Louise is doing today, but as it's Mother's Day and she's got two fantastic children, I hope she's doing something fab!! A lovely family, great fun and a dream to photograph. Thanks Louise, I really enjoyed the shoot and hope you did too! Rebecca, X http://www.rtphotographics.co.uk/ rebecca@rtphotographics.co.uk

Chloe is Growing Up!!

I can't resist showing you my Great Niece, Chloe!

She's certainly growing up fast and I'm really happy to say that she's growing up to be as adventurous and excited about life as her Great Aunty Becca!!

She always seems to be happy, even when being bowled over by the dogs... she just picks herself up, brushes herself down, looks at them with a frown and then toddles off chuckling! I am sad to say, however, that her dancing is no better than her Great Aunt Becca's!!! Probably not quite as bad as mine because I should have had a lot more practise at it over the years, but, nonetheless, it's pretty unrecognisable as dancing! Bless 'er!!

With a cheeky grin like Chloe's and her sense of fun and huge spirit, who cares if she can't dance when she's older? She's as cute as a button and we love her to pieces!

I've done incredibly well for nieces and nephews actually! Every single one of them is a gem, and they are all so different in their own ways, I love each and every one!! 5 nieces, 3 nephews, 1 great niece, 1 very proud aunty!!

Rain Nearly Stopped Play!

Well, we were supposed to be doing an outdoor family photo shoot but... yes, this is Scotland in the summer! Hmm, you guessed it... rain stopped play and so we opted for the dry comforts of my mobile studio.

As it turned out, we did well and got some lovely shots to celebrate a wonderful 40 years of marriage. We had children and grandchildren all together, a lovely surprise for the couple and surely the best and most beautiful emblem of their marriage.

A truly wonderful family, we were not only made welcome but a part of their special event.

We managed to get a variety of shots, from individual family members, to the entire group...

... and all at the same time as they were preparing for a party to start about 5 minutes after we finished!! It was pretty hectic, but we made it...

Phew!!!

Thanks to Selene for organising everything, and to Dan for helping, and special thanks to everyone who helped to make the shoot go so well and for letting us in when there was so much going on! You kept it flowing for us and we're so pleased you liked the results!

Thank you,

Rebecca, xx.
